100 Most Powerful People in Business

What is power? The world’s most valuable companies and the nations with the largest economies are clambering over each other to get what you sell—and they want more than you can produce. That’s life for CEO and cofounder of Nvidia Jensen Huang, No. 1 on Fortune’s 2025 ranking of the world’s 100 most powerful businesspeople. The other mega-tech CEOs in our top 10 most powerful—Microsoft’s Satya Nadella, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Alphabet’s Sundar Pichai, Huawei’s Ren Zhengfei—are among those desperately yearning for more of Huang’s chips. But even Huang mustn’t get comfortable—powerful rivals are never far away.

After more than two decades of producing the definitive list of the Most Powerful Women in Business, this is only the second time Fortune has ranked the Most Powerful People in Business. This list measures power and influence—and though net worth is a factor, we’re much more concerned with a leader’s ability to shape the thoughts and actions of those around them. Billionaires no longer active in business, business unit leaders, politicians and regulators, as well as loud voices who don’t run substantive businesses do not qualify. What you will find here are the 100 people who are running the business world today—and shaping what it looks like tomorrow.
